"We want to offer our future Arena as an ecosystem to give LDLC ASVEL Activité : Club de basket professionnel Création : 1948 Président et actionnaire majoritaire : Tony Parker Président délégué : Gaëtan Muller Directeur commercial : Christophe Just… (EuroLeague Basketball Activité : développe et organise des compétitions interclubs européennes de basketball (Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, 7 days Eurocup, Adidas Next Generation Tournament). Actionnariat : Euroleague… , Jeep Elite in France) the means to grow further and generate the resources we need to be at the highest level," said Jean-Michel Aulas Vice-président délégué @ Fédération Française de Football (FFF)
• Officier de la Légion d’honneur (2017) • Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (2012)
on 08/01/2021. Present at the Astroballe (Villeurbanne, suburb of Lyon, FRA) alongside Jordi Bertomeu, president and CEO of the EuroLeague, the president of OL Groupe, a 33.33% shareholder in the basketball club, was delighted with the announcement that ASVEL will soon obtain a long-term license for the European basketball competition.

This is an opportunity for the Lyon-based entrepreneur to recall the latest advances in the arena project, which is expected to come into operation in the second half of 2023: "The Metropolitan Council's vote to modify the PLU-H (local urban planning and housing plan) was passed (on 15/12/2020) by a large majority following a long and very serious public enquiry, which enabled us to adapt the project to make it more modern and more socially responsible. It is an ambitious project with a budget of around €140m. We are going to make the most beautiful Arena in France in terms of sports and events."

This new infrastructure will be located close to the Groupama Stadium, within OL Vallée (sporting campus), whose new 23,250 m2 leisure centre (17 sports, entertainment, culture and catering brands) will be inaugurated in February 2021.

February 2021 will also be the time for OL Groupe to present its financial results for the first half of the 2020-21 financial year. The figures for these first six months will inevitably be impacted by the Covid-19 crisis, which is currently preventing the return of spectators to stadiums. To make matters worse, the pandemic is compounded in France by the Ligue 1 TV rights crisis.

"We have to find the right solution so that no one loses out. I have absolute confidence in beIN Sports and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi Chairman @ European Club Association (ECA) • Member of the executive committee @ UEFA • President @ beIN MEDIA GROUP • President and CEO @ Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) • Chairman @ Qatar Sports… . Thank you to everyone who will help us, including Canal+ who, I repeat, has played an essential role in the development of professional football in France. When we negotiated with Mediapro Activité : groupe audiovisuel (contenus, droits audiovisuels, services audiovisuels et digital & eSport) Création : 1994 Sièges sociaux : Barcelone et Madrid Zone géographique : 30… , I expressed an unfortunate phrase when I said that it was 'a blessed day for French football'. It was not at all directed against Canal+, the most important historical broadcaster of French football. However, I felt that there was frustration on the part of Canal+," declared the president of Olympique Lyonnais Activité : club professionnel français (sections masculine et féminine) Partenaires premium : • adidas (équipementier), 2010-2029 (11 M€ par an sur 2020-2025) • Fly Emirates (compagnie… on 13/01/2021. The next day, the LFP announced the organisation of a new call for tenders to reallocate the lots recovered from Mediapro, in the framework of an accelerated procedure of only ten days, compared to the usual six to eight weeks.

Prior to these various important events, Jean-Michel Aulas will speak at e-Think Sport 2021, for which he is the ambassador. OL Groupe's strategy regarding LDLC ASVEL, as well as that envisaged for OL Reign, its women's football franchise in the United States acquired in December 2019, are on the agenda of the discussion which will launch the event organised by News Tank Football via video-conference over four consecutive mornings, from 26 to 29/01/2021, on Tuesday 26/01/2021 at 09:00 CET Central European Time .
